Dalton Narine, the GOAT of all pan fans, is not doing good. A friend shared his status that we have excerpted below.
Dalton now lives in a health care facility suffering from memory loss. He is unable to communicate, has limited recognition and can hardly speak. He is also suffering from war related PTSD.
Dalton saw combat during his US Army tour of Vietnam. He was also exposed to Agent Orange, a highly toxic and carcinogenicairborne defoliant that was dumped on the jungles of Vietnam also fell on civilians and US Troops.
Dalton was a once a fixture on the Panorama stage, interviewing arrangers, band captains and others. He was a successful journalist, working with the Village Voice, the Miami Herald and Ebony magazine. Dalton was also an award winning documentarian. We can only pray that the rest of his life is peaceful.
